Erykah Badu, H.E.R., Destin Conrad And More Set For RNB X Live In Dallas

Today, Spotify and Live Nation Urban announced RNB X Live in Dallas, a one-day concert taking place November 1 at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory. The event marks Spotify’s first standalone R&B concert and brings its popular RNB X playlist to the stage on its biggest scale yet.

Erykah Badu will return to her hometown following the release of her first project in 11 years. H.E.R. will also perform, making a rare stage appearance after spending several years away from headlining her own shows. The lineup will also include kwn and Destin Conrad, while Jai’Len Josey is also set to take the stage. Dallas native rjtheweirdo will open the show.

“From First Nights to RNB X Live, we’ve been intentional about taking the work we do through RNB X on Spotify and extending it beyond the platform, creating real-life spaces for R&B artists and their fans to connect,” said Alaysia Sierra, Spotify’s Head of Editorial, R&B. “R&B’s influence spans genres and generations, shaping culture in ways that can’t be defined by one sound or one type of artist. We wanted this festival to reflect that expansiveness, from an icon like Erykah Badu, to a defining voice like H.E.R., to rising stars like kwn and Jai’Len. R&B has given so much to music and culture—it’s only right that we continue to invest in its potential, giving the artists of its past, present, and future the platform, resources, and space to keep pushing R&B forward.”

Several of the newer performers have previously received support from Spotify. kwn, Conrad and Josey have been featured through initiatives such as Artists to Watch and Fresh Finds, while rjtheweirdo has also been recognized as a Fresh Finds favorite.

RNB X Live follows previous events connected to the playlist, including RNB X After Hours in Washington, D.C. Spotify and Live Nation Urban also brought RNB X Live: The UK Sound to New York and San Francisco. The Dallas concert will expand the concept into its first full standalone event.

RNB X has become one of Spotify’s destinations for R&B discovery, placing emerging singers alongside some of the genre’s biggest names. Its Dallas debut will give listeners an opportunity to experience several of those artists on the same bill.

Select performances from RNB X Live in Dallas will later be released through the Spotify Live video series for fans unable to attend the concert in person.
