On Sunday night, Manhattan’s legendary nightclub, Jean’s, was the destination for ESSENCE’s annual Fashion House celebration during New York Fashion Week. From style fortune telling to sounds by Va$htie, and even a Flo Milli performance, the evening was full of excitement for the Black fashion community. And, best of all, our VIP guests didn’t leave empty-handed.
Aside from the obvious—the ESSENCE magazine Festival Double issue—the gifts bags were filled to the brim with beauty products. For haircare, the ESSENCE Beauty Award-winning SLIQ’s DEEP IT conditioning treatment, Camille Rose Spiked Honey Styling Mousse, and Carol’s Daughter Hair & Scalp Oil were among the line-up of hair-strengthening products. As for makeup, Fenty Beauty’s new Gloss Bomb shade, Rose Amber, paired perfectly with ILIA’s Lip Sketch Crayon.
The gift bag also held nail products for guests to DIY with, including the Kijibae Cure Me UV Lamp and press-ons. Meanwhile, smell-goods like S.S.K. Labs’ Oil Kit layered deliciously with Coach’s Cherry Parfum. And, we coudn’t forget Fenty Skin’s Salted Caramel body cream for a saccharine body base.
