The G.O.P.’s New Red Scare

What does the Republican Party do if it’s not on track to win an election? Blame communism, of course! But according to the Times columnist Jamelle Bouie, “There isn’t a communist wave waiting to take over America.“ Instead, he says, this “red scare” is just a distraction from the Republicans’ failure to do anything they promised to do.
