Trump and Xi hail ‘most important’ relationship

US President Donald Trump described his country’s relationship with China as ‘one of the most consequential’, in a state banquet speech on the first day of his visit to Beijing. Chinese leader Xi Jinping also spoke about the importance of US-China ties.
