In the ‘By Us Beauty’ series, our editors discuss the hottest Black-owned products in the beauty sphere that you should know about. In this iteration, we discuss our favorite Black-owned launches from August 2026.

August was a big month for Black beauty. The “Lipstick Effect” took the shape of lip glosses and treatments as we head into fall, including new launches from Danessa Myricks, The Lip Bar, and EADEM. Then, just before Topicals’ new CEO (who came from Fenty Beauty) was announced, the brand launched their latest hyperpigmentation product: Dark Spot Peel Pads.

As for hair, Beyoncé’s Cécred released a new hair growth product specifically for the brow and lashes. Meanwhile, new shampoo from PATTERN Beauty are is an ideal foundation for textured silk presses. But, launching a new product wasn’t enough for Briogeo founder Nancy Twine. Instead, she launched an entirely new haircare brand all together: Meet Soulstice’s very first 5-product collection.

From Topicals peels to Soulstice styling products, see all the best Black beauty launches from August.
